Cameras and Sensors

 20. 09. 2007 — Our aim is to be among the leading European companies which perform aerial photography. Aside from the most modern digital technologies we also take part in the development of our own digital camera GbCAM.

Our aim is to be among the the leading European companies which perform aerial photography. We constantly extend our photography equipment, so we can provide our customers with the highest quality.

In 2006 and 2007, the GEODIS GROUP has put technologies for digital photography into operation, based on the VEXCEL UltraCam-X camera, which is so far the best available technology on the market.

Cameras and Sensors

This camera enables you to take vertical or oblique digital aerial images for special fields of image application, where the usage of big format surveying cameras is not possible or is uneconomical.

We use a wide range of cameras in our airplanes.

  • digital camera VEXCEL UltraCam-X
  • cameraRMK TOP 30
  • camera RMK TOP 15
  • camera LMK 2000
  • digital camera GbCAM
  • digital video camera SONY

Digital Camera VEXCEL UltraCAM-X

The most modern digital camera VEXCEL UltraCAM-X, which we make use of, has the following parametrs:

  • Size of panchromatic image: 14,430 x 9,420 pixels
  • Physical pixel size: 7,2 micrometer
  • Focal distance of panchromatic lenses: 100 milimeters
  • Visual angle in vertical and cross direction (axial direction): 55 (37) degrees
  • Colours (multispectral possibilities): 4 channels - RGB + NIR
  • Shutter speed: 1/1000 to 1/30
  • Capacity of on-flight storage devices: 1,7 TB
  • Capacity of on-flight collection of uncomprimed images: cca. 4,000 images
  • The smallest pixel on surface at 300 metre height of flight: 3 cm

Aerial Survey Camera ZEISS LMK

Aerial Survey Camera ZEISS LMK

LMK cameras produce aerial survey images in the format 23 x 23 cm, are equipped with a forward motion compensation device enabling sharp images from very low heights. Integrated exposure-meter manages the exposition continuously during flight. Gyro-stabilized suspension mount LMK 2015 ensures the verticality of the view even in turbulence. The LMK 30 objective is suitable for town residential area photography.

Digital Camera GbCAM

The construction of the digital camera GbCAM, which has been developed by specialists from our photogrammetry division, enables you to take vertical or oblique digital aerial images for special fields of image application, where big format survey cameras are not applicable or where it’s not economically feasible to use them.

Special projects

A thermovision camera can be placed in our airplanes for your special projects.
In cooperation with our partners we can also provide aerial laserscanning and radar photography.
