Seeing that the vector cadastral map is available for only XX% of the territory, more and more institutions using maps for their work have the problem of how to implement cadastral data in their information systems.
GEODIS BRNO offers the solution to this problem
That is why GEODIS BRNO offers as a solution to this problem the elaboration of a so-called Purpose Cadastral Map (PCM). We already started the realisation of one of the first projects of this type in 2003 on the territory of the South-Moravian Region.
The purpose cadastral map are map data, which are
- uniform referential,
- fully vectorial,
- seamless
The PCM structure is no novelty. The digital data of the PCM correspond in their structure to the technical specifications of the digital cadastral map (DCM) of the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre (COSMC). It is very easy to maintain this data; in the event of the dislocation of the digitalization of the cadastral map operate, we can easily complement and replace it.
We do not approach PCM projects as one-shot events, but as a complex project including the securing of the regular update of this data. The realization of a similiar project in the Zlin district, for example, already took a fifth update of data in 2007, with a further update taking place every half-a-year.
We also cooperate with cadastral offices. We have created a system for data sharing for various updates and we are successful at removing discrepancies found. That continuously increases the quality of the data, or more precisely cuts the error rate and to general satisfaction the percent has become a permille of errors.
The importance of the PCM referential basis has increased with the effectiveness of the new Building Act (Act no. 183/2006 Sb. on land-use planning and building regulation) in the field of the creation of territorially analytical documentation (TAD) (Notice no. 500/2006 on territorially analytical documentation, land-use planning documentation and the method of registration of the planning activity) as the land-use planning documentation.
In §3 of this notice it is noted that: "If there is not a state mapping publication available, it is possible to create mapping documentation in digital form with the use of the exisitng state mapping publication".

Since 2003 the South Moravian Region and the Zlin region have been using a PCM in full vector shape. This makes 574 cadastral areas in the South Moravian and 241 cadastral areas in the Zlin region.
