The company GEODIS BRNO, spol. s r.o. gained in 2011 another TÜV SÜD certificates 8000:2005, 18001:2008 and 27001:2006 which will contribute to improving the information security management system, occupational health and work responsibility management.

Noise reducing in Seville, Spain

GEODIS BRNO is completing a mapping project to reduce noise in 11 km long section of the main road in Aljarafe, near the andalusian city Seville. This project is about soundproofing several sections of four-lane road. Along these roads, there are going to be installed noise barriers with noise absorbent surface. Total investment is 8 million €.

INTERGEO 2011 Review

17th annual conference and exhibition INTERGEO were held in Nuremberg from 27th till 29th of September. GEODIS BRNO had an exhibition stand at the fair again where visitors could meet with news and portfolio of GEODIS‘ activities. Most of the visitors were interested in mobile mapping system, the latest service of our company, its data outputs and practical use.

A conference „6émes Rencontres des Dynamiques Régionales en Information Géographique“ (6th Encounter of Regional Development in Geoinformation) and a parallel exhibition of geoinformation suppliers were organized on June 9^th and 10^th at Polydome in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The event was organized by Regional GIS Centre of Auvergne and The French Association for Geoinformation.

Historic Orthophotomaps for CENIA

GEODIS BRNO supplied a set of historical orthophotomaps dated 1950´s for CENIA (a Czech Environmental Information Agency). The product is based on aerial images supplied by Military Geography and Hydrometoerology Office in Dobruška, Czech Republic.

Imaging of Flash Floods in the Czech Republic

On August 11^th and 12^th, GEODIS BRNO procured oblique aerial imaging mission (PixoView®) over all rivers affected by the flash floods in the northern part of the Czech Republic, reaching 410 km in total length.

GEODIS BRNO Gained a Technology Development Grant

GEODIS BRNO gained a grant for a project focused on a "Complex Mapping System" development.

The project of 30 million CZK total budget was granted from Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations - ICT and Strategic Services programme, second call.
