GEODIS was sponsor of The Digital Earth Summit 2010 and the followed up 3th International Conference on Cartography & GIS. Both events have held in the beautiful city Nessebar located on the Bulgarian part of Black Sea in June of 2010.

Today GEODIS BRNO purchased a fourth digital camera from VEXCEL company. Now our company already owns two digital cameras UltraCamX and two UltraCamXp.

GEODIS BRNO gained a grant for a project focused on a "Complex Mapping System" development.

The project of 30 million CZK total budget was granted from Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations - ICT and Strategic Services programme, second call.

Macedonian LPIS Project has been successfully finished

New Topology Map for Czech Arctic Explorers

GEODIS BRNO has been involved in creation of a new topographic map of the James Ross island northern part with the scale of 1: 25,000. This custom work has been done in cooperation with the Czech Geological Survey that is actively participating in the research in Antarctica. The map illustrates a part of the Ulu peninsula where the Johan Gregor Mendel Czech base is located.

The Czech City Hradec Králové Scanned by a Thermal Camera

This was the heading of the story published by MF Dnes for the Pardubice region on 16 January 2010, addressing thermal scanning of the city Hradec Králové. ARGUS GEO SYSTÉM, one of the GEODIS BRNO subsidiaries, was carrying out thermal aerial scanning of a city part in order to obtain information about possible thermal leakages from houses and utility grids.

Green Cadastre for Oradea

GEODIS won a contract for creation of the “Green Cadastre” for the city of Oradea, Romania. This project involves an ultimate geographically referenced database of urban vegetation, creation of green areas master plan and a feasibility study for further development of all the green areas in the city.
