Satellite Orthophoto of the Czech Republic

 24. 10. 2007 — atellite images and satellite orthophotomaps created from them represent the perfect source of information for wide areas. The Czech Republic is covered by nine LANDSAT 7.

These images contain visible and infrared bands enabling features to be shown and analyzed that cannot be seen in classical photographs.

  • Satellite orthophotomap in the S-1942 and JTSK coordination systems from the period 1999 - 2001. The orthophotomap is compiled by RGB bands and has a pixel size of 30 m.

  • Satellite orthophotomap with 7 meter pixel size, which offers suitable foundations for medium and small scale maps of larger areas. It is created by a combination of panchromatic and RGB bands.

  • A combination of various bands can be used for vegetation monitoring in agriculture, forestry and ecology; applications for geology, land-use, urbanistic and regional studies can be done as well.

  • With the combination of controlled and uncontrolled classification and other analytical methods we have created the map LAND USE of the whole territory of the Czech Republic.
