GASACOR2

13. 10. 2008 — The Gasacor program is designed to record and assess anti-corrosion protection data from gas mains and gas pipe systems.

The program retrieves data from several sources. It can import data from another system (GIS system) or import files with measurement data (in XML and M20 formats) or can be directly connected to measuring equipment.

The measurement data is systematically presented in the program in a manner corresponding to the real tree structure of pipes in individual routes, sections, and measuring points to which individual devices are connected. Each type of measuring device can be assigned any number of measured variables, which can be sorted into logical groups (generally by variable type). These groups can then be represented in graphs by their common attributes (for example scale or limit).

The basic menu of the program is divided up into several basic sections depending on the correlation between them:

  • Measurement – contains screens for the import, export and manipulation of measurement data.
  • Outputs – contains graphical and print representations of data by means of graphs and print configurations.
  • Primary data – used to set parameters for different types of measurement, equipment and variables.
  • Defects and repairs – used to record defects and repairs on pipes.
  • System – used for administration of user rights and user roles.

The Measurement screen (see below) is used for the main data manipulation processes, clearly displaying the values of each individual measurement, including groupings, labelled according to the appropriate parameters.

For each measurement, the measurement overview also offers the option to switch to the corresponding graph – or to the graph setup screen with the output values filled in, where the individual properties and attributes for the appropriate bookmarks can be set to be displayed on the screen. Any dissimilarities can be printed, including background colour, lines, etc. The actual graph can also be pulled up from the main menu by selecting Graph.

The graph displays the actual line graph with respect to how the groups of variables are set, as well as corresponding detailed information about the individual elements of the graph in captions. The caption in the “bubble” is displayed when the mouse is passed over the appropriate graph element.

Selecting Graph – M20 allows the user to select measurements performed outside the main topology – in a special – independent substructure. The data from these measurements can be read from a file or from a database. Depending on the type of measurement, it is then possible to choose between a time or polar measurement. Polar measurements can be displayed in angular or orthogonal coordinates.

Print configurations with output data are designed to allow the user to choose between a full, detailed overview and a concise, summary version. A form for manually writing the data can also be generated, if necessary.

The primary data classifiers are for setting the individual parameters of the different types of measurement, variables and groups of variables, types of equipment, and equipment values as such.

The file for setting users and roles is used for easy and intuitive administration of user rights.

Under the Topology tab in the tree menu, it is possible to create models of the pipes that are to be measured. The pipe model pipes are created using a hierarchical pipe structure – route – section – point.
