GEODIS BRNO set up a team of specialists from several companies, and as part of what was then Jihomoravská plynárenská, it developed the GASACOR2 system based on the MEG20 measuring instrument developed by MEGA and the mobile terminal and information system developed by DEFINITY. This system was gradually modified to suit the needs of the anti-corrosion protection employees from the entire RWE group, which controls the bulk of the Czech gas industry. In 2007 the working system was implemented within the entire RWE group in the Czech Republic and put into operation. The system was integrated with the Geographic Information System (GIS) already in place in these companies. This article attempts to briefly characterize the system as a whole and describe our experience using it.
Anti-Corrosion Protection System

Anti-corrosion protection has a long tradition in the Czech gas industry. Back in the early 90s, the first systems to measure efficiency appeared, and the first version of the GASACOR software was created. As measuring instruments gradually became obsolete and greater demands were made on data processing and the integration of data into larger information systems, it became necessary to design a comprehensive solution for this matter.
