Transformation of urban planning (Moravian-Silesian Region)
Accessing of urban planning documentation via web technologies.
In 2008, our company participated in a large project for the Moravian-Silesian Region "Accessing of urban
planning documentation via web technologies”.
From supporting documents, which were mostly in poor handling condition (plain papers, a few decade old paper sheets,
or tracing paper where the drawing was illegible), came to us already scanned files in raster format. We have
transformed these files to the different backgrounds (vector drawing of digital cadastral map, cadastral
map-digitalized, raster maps 1: 1000, 1: 2000, 1: 2880, eventually orthophotomaps).
Villages were composed from several or even only from one map sheet. Individual sheets were transformed separately and subsequently integrated into one file by municipalities, using applications developed by our company. To achieve the resulting seamless unit for the whole region, it was always necessary to integrate each municipality according to the exact cadastral boundaries. These cadastral boundaries were in the vector layer.
The result of the work can be viewed at the website of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
