Slovak Communications Documented in Highway Base Map (ZÁKLADNÁ MAPA DIAĽNICE - ZMD)
Our company already processed approximately 100 km of communications (recently built structures) according to the
"Slovak Technical Directive of Ministry of Transport, Post and Telecommunications of SR - section of road
infrastructure TSV 0903 - HIGWAY BASE MAP." The section "R2 - Ožďany - bypass" is a complicated one, due to various
bridge objects. Bridges of the section´s end, including topography with altitudes are depicted in the Image of the
Month.
To reach the most precise and most objective data, various surveying methods were applied: static GPS, GPS RTK,
classical topographic survey, aerial photogrammetry, and laser scanning. These technologies enabled 3D data
acquisition and subsequent creation of a three-dimensional model of the entire area, including bridges, buildings,
power distribution objects, manholes, etc.), which are the most required features for various spatial analyses.
The Highway Base Map (ZMD) includes:
- Network of surveying control points (including detailed network)
- Traffic signs (horizontal signs, precisely realistic - width and distances between lines, vertical ones according to actual directive for traffic signs)
- Power, communication, and gas distribution network (in 2D and 3D), product-conveyors and sewerage
- Cadastral data
- Three dimensional topography (contour lines including hatching and altitude points)
- Orthophotomaps
- Printed map sheets in 1: 1 000 including marginal notes, and A3 prints of overlapping inset maps
