The second image of 2011 is a small section of the complete digital terrain model (DTM) of the Czech Republic (section of Czech Central Mountains). GEODIS BRNO, spol. s r. o. has significantly improved the precision of the available altimetry data, during its 20 years of projects in the Czech Republic, mainly in connection with creation of the Orthophotomap of the entire Czech Republic (OrtoČR) and further local surveys.
The model precision is adequate to the data sources. The precision is better than 1 m in the majority of the urban areas, vicinity of water bodies and near significant terrain constructions. The model, which includes a network of height and positional points, and is progressively enriched with terrain break lines extracted from technical features and further terrain lines, presents a perfect dataset for land analyses, flood plans, and water runoff models.
