The aerial images captured by the digital camera UltraCamX are composed of a large format high resolution panchromatic image and four bands of lower resolution in Red, Green, Blue (RGB) and Near Infra Red (NIR). The multicpectral images may be separated from the actual images during the images processing.
Such data is more convenient for further processing than the high resolution images. GEODIS BRNO participates with the School of Forestry and Wood Science of the Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, on development of a technology for automatic classification of the species and forest height zoning detection. The project includes combination of digital aerial images and a digital terrain model created on an aerial LiDAR basis.
